DISTILLATES MADE WITH ANDEAN INPUTS
We committed to creating drinks, ferments and distillates using Andean inputs and the knowledge of Mater Iniciativa's team.
Manuel Contreras, a specialist in craft cocktails and a member of the Mater's team at MIL, has been experimenting with botanicals, herbs and roots to create new drinks. Manuel has brought us knowledge about medicinal plants and roots, which we are including in our cocktails. Resulting from these experiments, Q'AQE was born, which means bitter in Quechua.
Through this high-altitude bitter, we wanted to highlight plants and botanicals growing in MIL's nearby and that have been used by the communities for multiple purposes.
