Cocoa Infusion

Chuncho is Cuzco’s native cacao variety, it grows in the upper jungle among coffee, rough lemon, mango, soursop, and other fruit trees. The cacao seed shells are a high-quality product, usually consumed only by the producers as few people have discovered that the shells can be used to make a delicate and aromatic hot or cold infusion.

We recommend steeping the shells in hot water (80° Celsius) for 3 minutes to obtain a subtle chocolate-flavored beverage.
