The purpose of this project is to support an educational center for children aged 3 to 5 in Anccoto, a neighboring area of Mil Centro, located in Mullaka’s-Misminay.

Through this initiative, we also aim to validate our actions to later replicate them in other educational centers in Maras, focusing on two key areas: education and nutrition.

01-1
Library Implementation

In the classroom, we created a reading space with books tailored to the children's age and cultural context. As a complement, we conducted reading activities led by the teacher to encourage enjoyment and comprehension of reading.

01-2
Strategies to Promote Reading

We introduced initiatives such as the "Traveling Book," where each child takes a book home to read, and group reading activities that encourage participation and idea-sharing. Additionally, we developed an incentive plan featuring strategies like a reading log, where children record the books they've read, motivating them to celebrate their achievements.

Kitchen and Nutrition Plan

We equipped the kitchen and developed a nutritional plan based on the Andean diet, tailored to the children's needs. This includes regular nutritional assessments and the creation of healthy recipe books.

01-2
Design and Creation of the Biogarden

We implemented a bio-garden that provides fresh vegetables to enhance the children's nutrition. To achieve this, we collaborated with the Nutritional Research Institute (IIN) and the International Potato Center (CIP) to ensure the success of this vital component.
